I went to big picture mode and enabled XBOX1 and generic gamepad. I turned off the game and then back on, and nothing. I had it set up where the XBOX 1 controller had the same layout as the 360, except ducking requires 1 press, and clicking on the left analog has the survivor point out whats in front.
